To define Directional
Sound, we refer to the notion of using various devices to create fields
of sound which spread less than most traditional loudspeakers.
Directional sound concentrates acoustic energy into a narrow beam and
it is projected to a discrete area. When a person listen this sound beam,
he senses the sound as if it is coming from a headset or from inside the
head. When the listener doesn’t find himself inside the beam, the
sound decreases its intensitive.
The new IAS way of concerning sound solution using a directional system, gives the possibility of pointing the sound in a specific direction, with a consequent reduction of excess of noise in adjoining building and reduction of sound-proofing cost. a generic line consisting of IAS sound , modular based speaker system that can be inserted into or suspended from the ceiling, directing the sound to a specific area (i.e dancefloor in a discotheque), holding a normal conversation few meters away; and a specific line, that can be created considering specific acoustic demand.
